Promoting MAGELLAN during Future of Road Mobility Forum (FORM Forum 2025)

01.10.2025

MAGELLAN was promoted at EARPA’s Future of Road Mobility Forum 2025, held in Brussels from 30 September to 1 October 2025. The event brought together stakeholders from the European automotive research and road mobility ecosystem to discuss the transition of road mobility and Europe’s competitiveness in the sector.

MAGELLAN partner IFP Energies Nouvelles participated in the event as an exhibitor with a dedicated booth. During the forum, MAGELLAN communication materials were made available to visitors, including the project leaflet presenting MAGELLAN’s objectives, consortium and approach to building a resilient European value chain for rare earth permanent magnets.

The activity provided an opportunity to introduce MAGELLAN to road mobility stakeholders and highlight the project’s relevance to electric vehicle technologies. In particular, the leaflet showcased MAGELLAN’s work on electric vehicle traction motor design, permanent magnet manufacturing, dismantling and recycling, rare earth sourcing, life-cycle analysis and circular economy approaches for the use, recovery and production of permanent magnets.

Through IFPEN’s presence at FORM Forum 2025, MAGELLAN strengthened its visibility within the European mobility community and supported wider awareness of the need for sustainable, recyclable and resource-efficient permanent magnets for future electric vehicles.
