Press release July 2024

24.07.2024

We’re thrilled to share an overview of the progress from the first six months of the MAGELLAN project.

The kick-off meeting hosted by Orano in Paris, set the foundation for strong collaborations among project partners while the second General Assembly in San Sebastian, hosted by Tecnalia, proved to be pivotal in aligning our activities and setting priorities. The team reported significant progress and discussed the path forward to producing high-performance magnets with 25% recycled content.

We’ve also been active in promoting MAGELLAN at international events. Highlights include Philippe Giaro’s presentation at the Rare Earth Elements International Summit in Ankara, introducing our sustainable value chain for REE permanent magnets and the participation at the REEsilience Conference in Brussels, where Véronique Peres contributed to discussions on European initiatives in rare earths.
