In July 2025, Orano, represented by Frederico Orlandini Keller, showcased MAGELLAN’s progress at the International Workshop on Rare Earth and Future Permanent Magnets and Their Applications (REPM2025). The presentation featured proof-of-concept magnets containing 25% recycled material, produced from end-of-life e-scooter magnets collected and processed within the project.
Our participation in REPM2025 offered an important opportunity to raise MAGELLAN’s visibility within the global permanent magnets community and to engage with leading industry players and experts. The event provided valuable feedback on the project’s value proposition for high-performance magnets with recycled content, which was widely recognised as both credible and innovative in the drive toward a more sustainable and circular European magnet value chain.
