MAGELLAN featured in Magnetics Magazine

25.04.2024

Our coordinator, Benoit Richebé, Project Director for Rare Earths/Magnets at Orano, sat down for an interview where he discussed our ambitious plans to reshape magnet recycling in Europe.

In the interview, our coordinator shared how MAGELLAN’s consortium is developing innovative recycling methods to reclaim rare earths from End-of-Life permanent magnets, contributing to a more sustainable magnet production process.

He also highlighted the project’s collaborative spirit, with 14 partners from across Europe working together to advance research and industry practices in magnet recycling and production.

The article also touches on the project’s commitment to supporting Europe’s green transition by reducing reliance on raw materials imports from countries outside the EU and lowering environmental impacts.
