The MAGELLAN consortium is gathered in Rueil-Malmaison for its General Assembly, hosted by IFP Energies nouvelles.
Over these two days, partners are reviewing progress across the project, discussing next steps and exchanging insights across MAGELLAN’s activities.
Yesterday’s agenda featured presentations on resource-efficient permanent magnet process routes, recycling-oriented magnet and rotor design, end-of-life magnet recycling, sustainability assessment, and demonstration activities.
The day also included a visit to IFPEN’s laboratories, where partners had the opportunity to see first-hand the testing equipment and meet the experts supporting EV motor design optimisation, bench testing and the demonstration of MAGELLAN’s solutions.
The 2nd day continues with cross-cutting discussions and a roundtable focused on how the MAGELLAN consortium can maximise its impact on the European permanent magnet value chain through high-performance magnets with 25% recycled content.
A big thank you to Misa Milosavljevic and the team at IFP Energies nouvelles for hosting our meeting.
Stay tuned for more updates!
